01 · CT05 Diagnosis

What eleven reports found.

Five Meta reports, six Shopify reports. The unfiltered truth about where $763 went and what it returned.

01 · Revenue
−40%

CT05 produced $6,130. The 30 days before, with no ads, produced $10,219. Running ads made it measurably worse — routing 1,568 sessions into a checkout that couldn't convert.

02 · Real purchases
~2

Meta attributed 4. Shopify social sessions converted at 0.13% — roughly 2 real click purchases from $763. The other two were engaged-view credit.

03 · Feed waste
$394

52% of budget on FB + IG Feed · zero purchases. Advantage+ scattered spend across placements that don't convert for this product.

04 · Landing page
0%

Morning Escape LP · 60 sessions · 55 URL variants · zero conversions. Discount-redirect pages converted at 16.7% vs the homepage's 48–56%.

05 · The buyer
45–54

Every ROAS above 1× came from 45–54, both genders — and it received $1.10 of $763. The 65+ bracket spent $119 at the highest CPMs, returned zero.

06 · The signal
403×

Dutch Cream × IG Reels × 45–54 female × $0.26. Tiny sample, enormous signal — and it got 0.034% of budget. CT06 gives it the budget to prove out.

The attribution problemCT04 and CT05 ran on different attribution windows simultaneously, so no apples-to-apples comparison was possible. CT06 standardizes to 7-day click + 1-day view across every ad. Shopify revenue is the source of truth.

02 · Campaign Plan

The $800 blueprint.

Every dollar allocated to what the data proved works. Four ad sets, three placements, one age window, one attribution standard.

Non-negotiablesManual placements — IG Reels primary, IG Stories secondary, FB Reels for video. Feed off. Audience Network off. Ages 25–54 hard cap, 55+ excluded. Attribution 7-day click + 1-day view, no engaged-view. Source of truth: Shopify revenue. No discount-redirect LPs.

Pre-launch
Fix the foundation — do not skip

Pixel audit · mobile checkout walk · kill broken LPs · build Dutch Cream LP · abandoned-cart email · standardize attribution · SLOWWAKE10 automatic discount on.

Days 1–7
Learning phase · do not touch

Let the algorithm gather data. Monitor Shopify sessions vs Meta clicks daily. Watch for pixel errors / policy flags only.

Days 8–13
Mid-flight read · first gate

Compare CPP and ROAS per ad set (Shopify source of truth). Zero ATC after 7 days: pause + redistribute. CPP below $35: +20%.

Day 14
Reserve deployment

Pull age/gender breakdown. Verify 45–54 converting. Deploy the $40 reserve to the sub-$35-CPP ad set.

Days 15–30
Scale · protect the winner, cut the rest

Pause anything below 0.5× ROAS. Max +20% every 3 days on the winner. Run the 5-report suite at end; build CT07 from data.

03 · Creative Strategy

Lifestyle first. Card dissolves in.

Variant B — vignette fade. The scene plays for three seconds, the vignette deepens, and the copy materializes out of the dark. Unhurried, intentional — exactly what the brand sounds like.

TimeWhat happens
0–3.2sPure lifestyle · no text · scroll-stop before anything is asked of the viewer
3.2–4.7sVignette darkens · copy fades in, as if always there in the shadow
4.7–8.6sCard holds · scene still above · four seconds to read and tap
8.6–9sFades back · loops clean

Elevate the Ritual.
Find your flavor →
Kling prompt · 9:16
Extreme slow drift over unmade linen bedsheets in warm amber morning light, diagonal shadow bars from venetian blinds, a terracotta mug with a chipped rim on dark wood, a trailing pothos partly in frame, no faces, no hands, no text, 16mm grain, Kodak Portra 400, dust in the light beam, imperceptibly slow, 9s, 9:16, no audio.

CapCut assembly: at 3.2s a gradient vignette (bottom 60%, opacity 0→75%, 0.8s) → logo 3.5s → headline 3.8s → rule + subtext 4.1s → CTA 4.4s. The card is always a CapCut layer, never regenerated. Export 1080×1920.

Compliant copy

Hook

"your 6am called."

Morning ritual implied. No product named. Creates ownership.

Hook

"make it slower."

Brand positioning as directive. Pairs directly with the scene.

Tagline

"Elevate the Ritual."

Official tagline · lifestyle positioning · passes review.

Tagline

"Roll with Nature."

Primary brand tagline · compliant across all formats.

Product

"Dutch Cream. Your morning, elevated."

Flavor name is safe. "Elevated" implies without stating.

CTA

"find your flavor →"

Curiosity-driven. Browse intent, not pressure.

Compliance

SafeSealed product as a scene prop · wellness & ritual language ("morning ritual," "herbal wrap," "plant-based") · brand taglines · flavor + brand names.
AvoidRolling, unpackaging, or handling product · "high," "stoned," "buzz," "THC," "smoke," "cannabis" · hemp/cannabis-leaf imagery · medical claims ("relaxing," "stress relief," "calming").
04 · Landing Page

Dutch Cream LP specification.

Two pages to build, one to kill. The LP hero mirrors the ad's end frame — same scene, same vignette, same settled card. Zero dissonance between ad and destination.

Kill before a single ad runs/pages/morning-escape — 60 sessions, 55 URL variants, 0% conversion → 301 to the wraps collection. /pages/discount-slowwakeship-redirect and /pages/discount-softstartship-redirect (16.7% vs homepage 48%) → replace with a Shopify automatic discount at checkout.
LP 01 · Build first

Dutch Cream flavor page

Hero matches the ad aesthetic; headline within two words of the ad copy ("Your morning, slower."). No nav bar. One CTA. Pack selector defaults to 2-box at $62.99. Pinwheel trust block above Add to Cart. Reviews + flavor upsell below the fold. Pixel verified.

LP 02 · Build second

Slow Wake collection page

Destination for AS02 + AS03. Same scene aesthetic + tagline hero. Flavor carousel (Dutch Cream, Honey Pot, Grape Ape, Maui Mango) with variety pack prominent for AOV. Pixel audit required — CT04's pixel wasn't firing in CT05.

05 · Email Sequences

The recovery layer.

CT05 had 155 add-to-carts and ~4 purchases. A 10% email recovery returns more than the entire CT06 budget — from traffic already paid for.

The email math155 abandoned carts × 10% recovery × $54 AOV = $837 recovered — the Meta budget, back, at near-zero cost. This channel just didn't exist in CT05.
Seq 01 · Abandoned Cart

1hr / 24hr / 72hr

Reminder (no discount) → social proof + Pinwheel explanation → 10% off, auto-applied. Never lead with the discount; earn it.

Seq 02 · Browse

4hr / 48hr

"Still thinking about it?" (link to LP, not cart) → "Can't decide? Try the sampler" — variety pack for AOV.

Seq 03 · Welcome

Instant / Day 3 / Day 10

Confirmation + ritual philosophy → usage tips → replenishment, free shipping (no discount, protect margin).

Seq 04 · Launch

Day 1 · full list

"We redesigned your morning." Dutch Cream hero matching the ad. Warms the list, seeds a retargeting pool at zero media cost.

06 · Checkout

Five fixes before launch.

Campaign pages converted at 16.7% vs the homepage's 48–56%. The checkout works. The infrastructure around it is broken.

01 · Critical

Automatic discount, kill redirects

Remove the redirect LPs. Create SLOWWAKE10 (10% off) that appears in the cart on arrival. The friction is gone.

02 · Critical

Name & explain Pinwheel

Payment gateway name, "hemp-compliant payments," and card icons at the checkout header — before entering a digit.

03 · Critical

Age gate at checkout

On the LP it's a wall; at the info step it's a 2-second field, after the buyer has already decided.

04 · Critical

Walk checkout on mobile

iPhone + Android, private browsing, as a new visitor. Confirm Pinwheel, card icons, discount, and no breaks cart → confirmation.

05 · New

Pixel audit, every event

ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase on every page. CT04's pixel was broken the entire CT05 campaign.

06 · Voice

Order confirmation tone

"Your Dutch Cream wraps are on their way. Your morning ritual is ready." Same unhurried voice as the ad.

07 · Pre-Launch

In order. Don't skip steps.

CT06 does not launch until every item is checked. Sending $800 into the same broken infrastructure produces the same broken results.

  1. Walk checkout on mobile — iOS and Android, private browsing, as a new visitor.
  2. Pixel audit — every LP, every event (ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase).
  3. Kill and 301 broken pages — morning-escape + the two discount redirects → wraps collection.
  4. Build the Dutch Cream LP — live, mobile, <3s on LTE, 2-box default, Pinwheel above ATC, pixel confirmed.
  5. Abandoned-cart sequence — build 1hr/24hr/72hr and test the trigger with a real email.
  6. Verify attribution — 7-day click + 1-day view on every ad set.
  7. Confirm manual placements — IG Reels, IG Stories, FB Reels only; Advantage+ off; verify each set.
  8. Set SLOWWAKE10 automatic discount — 10% off, no minimum, active at launch; test on mobile.
  9. Send the launch email — "We redesigned your morning," full list, Day 1.
After CT06 — close the loopPull the same five-report suite at end: full-funnel by creative, placement by ad, age/gender, video retention, attribution-window comparison. Cross-reference against Shopify. CT07 gets built from that data — not intuition.
